Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color in Shy Blush Review
I reviewed the Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color in Cherry Blossom last year, so now it's time to give another shade some love. This blush shade is one that I had overlooked for years. It seems so basic, but it has become a staple in my daily makeup routine.

Price: $12
Available at marykay.com and through Mary Kay Beauty Consultants
The packaging is a simple plastic case with the metal pan inside. It can easily be removed to put in any of the Mary Kay custom compacts.
This gorgeous peachy-pink shade is a lot more natural than Cherry Blossom. In the macro shot below you can see the very finely milled gold shimmer.
Here is a heavy swatch (right) and a blended swatch (left): In the heavier swatch you can see that this blush looks ashy on my skin tone, but when sheered out, the gold shimmer creates a gorgeous, natural highlight shade. I've been wearing this sheered out on my cheekbones daily.
As I said in my last review, the MK Mineral Cheek colors normally last around 6+ hours on my oily skin before fading, but they would likely last longer on someone of a dryer skin type.
Shy Blush is a great shade overall, and it is very versatile. It is a great peachy-pink blush for lighter skin tones, and a pretty highlight shade for darker skin tones. The price is pretty good too. Mary Kay has 10 other mineral cheek colors also, if you are looking for a different shade.

That is a nice shade, it looks like it works well for highlighting as well.
