New Mary Kay CC Cream Review
Mary Kay has come out with a new CC Cream, so every single makeup brand officially has a BB/CC Cream now! Okay... I'm just kidding... This product will be replacing their old Tinted Moisturizer.
Mary Kay CC Cream
Price: $20
Available on marykay.com and through Mary Kay Consultants
The packaging on this product is pretty much everything I could ever ask for in a face product! It appears to be a normal squeeze tube, but IT HAS A PUMP (I get way to excited about products with pumps)! I love how easy it is to control how much product comes out of the tube.
The Mary Kay CC Cream comes in 4 different shades: Very Light, Light to Medium, Medium to Deep, and Deep. The shade I have (which is swatched above) is Medium to Deep. This is a light coverage product that does a nice job of evening out the skin tone, but it won't hide every imperfection. Since this isn't a full coverage product, the shade range is very forgiving.
I normally apply this right after I cleanse my skin because it does a nice job of moisturizing me skin. I buff this into my skin with a foundation brush, and it leaves me skin looking smooth and hydrated. It blends easily into my skin and leaves an almost matte finish once I let it absorb into my skin.
This is a pretty hydrating product, but if works pretty well for my oily skin. I can usually get 6+ hours out of this before it starts fading. I'd imagine that it would work even better on someone that has normal-dry skin.
Although this isn't my favorite CC Cream of all time, it is definitely in my top 3 (my first favorite is the Maybelline BB Cream, and my second is the Hard Candy CC Cream). This CC Cream feels very luxurious on the skin, and feels a lot better than the other two that I've mentioned. The Maybelline and Hard Candy creams have slightly better coverage though. I do think that this is still worth the price. If you are looking for a CC Cream that will really benefit your skin, you may want to check this one out!
I am still not sure about Mary Kay products, I haven't found anything I love yet. I use a tinted primer base by Clarins that I love and will be posting on later today but I don't use BB or CC creams. I have issues with finding that perfect shade.

I used to feel that way about Mary Kay products, but their makeup has really stepped up in the past few years! I think you would really like their mineral eyeshadows!
DeleteGlad to hear this CC cream works for oily combo skin. I have tried a few brands and they make my skin look so greasy. With the upcoming warmer weather, I prefer to go for CC/BB cream rather than foundation. Thanks for the review!

I prefer to wear lightweight products in the summer too! I hardly use foundations at all when it's hot
DeleteI get excited about products with pumps too! I love using this under lighter coverage foundations because I find it evens my skin tone out so well.
